The module.
What is InSight Mesh?
The indoor positioning module of the Trackerserver platform. Battery tags are located inside a building by a Wirepas mesh of anchors and gateways, and shown on a floor plan or a 3D model of the building.
How is a position worked out?
From the strength of the radio signal between a tag and the anchors that hear it, whose places on the floor plan are known. Where a floor has been surveyed with the Mesh Calibration app, the position is worked out against that floor's radio map.
Can it show which floor something is on?
Yes. Each floor has its own plan, and the 3D view shows every floor of a building together with the tags on each.
What can be reported?
Dwell time per zone, occupancy, movement between areas and the health of the mesh. Reports are exported as CSV.
Which alerts are there?
Entering or leaving a zone, being in a restricted zone, staying in a zone too long, too many tags in an area, and temperature or humidity out of range on a sensor tag.
Hardware and setup.
What hardware does a site need?
Tags on what is tracked, anchors on the building and a gateway: Teltonika's EYE Beacon Mesh and EYE Sensor Mesh, Mesh Anchor and Mesh Gateway Wi-Fi.
Do the anchors need cabling?
No. Mesh Anchors run on batteries and are mounted where the plan says. Only the gateway needs power and Wi-Fi.
How many anchors does a floor need?
It depends on the size of the floor and what stands in it. Send us the plan when you enquire and we will work it out with you.
Is a survey needed?
Not to start. It is recommended wherever racking, machinery or walls stand between tags and anchors, because it improves positions on that floor.
Offering it.
Can I offer InSight Mesh under my own brand?
Yes. It is a module of the Trackerserver platform, which runs on a dedicated server with your logo, your domain and your emails. The Mesh Calibration app carries your brand as well.
Can each of my clients have its own sites?
Yes. Access is given per user and per site, so each client sees only its own buildings.
